Hope everyone...
thanks! not the news i wanted to hear but i guess i wont mind having a drake around
looks like he'll be called barry allen! i'll call one of the girls Iris and my other girl Caitlyn :)
now just to get them to love meee!!!! lol
So I know to sex a duck you need the backside but since they wont let me come near them I got this pic lol can you tell if he/she is a drake yet? (The darker one in the pic) They also don't have names (they did, but I don't like them lol) any ideas for names? If the duck turns out to be a boy...
My ducks do NOT like chickens. We have a fence that separates the ducks from the chickens and whenever a chicken walks by them, one will kinda shake the back of its neck and kinda puff up its neck (I am not sure if that's normal, it's like vibrating its neck...) and they all kinda "challenge"...
Ohh yes! lol Idk why I forgot that they take their 'baths' in the water XD
Ok I'll definitely post updated pics then XD
Thank you guys for answering all my questions! Been a great help!!!!
Can definitely here the quacks now. I'm not sure if I just have two females quacking when I hear them though. The middle one is pretty dark.
Do ducks like to take dirt baths like chickens? Just wondering
Thanks guys, I have tried dropping the ducks in the kiddie pool, but they just scramble to get out I haven't really given them peas lately because when they were little there beaks were too tiny . But I'll try now since their beaks have gotten a bit bigger. Ducks can eat collard right? When we...
Here are some updates pics, do you see a drake?
Also, they've become super shy lately, they have always been a bit shy too, no matter how many times I hold them. Is it possible I could still gain their trust even when they're adults?
I think we might have a drake which stinks cause I think we paid extra for sexed ducklings. One is darker, has a curled tail feather, and is starting to make a weird noise (which I think might be a drake noise)
No because they don't need it lol, they aren't even cold. I would know because they would be huddled up together. I don't do it for the chicks because it makes them hardy once their older. I can see faint little feathers on there tail. I also don't have a plug out in the barn to even plugin the...
My ducks are getting messy, their about 2-3 weeks (not feathered) I was wondering if I could put them in the stall in the barn? The barn isn't heated and the temperature (outside and in the barn) is mid 30 degrees to mid 40 degrees (Fahrenheit, I don't go by Celsius lol) is it to cold for them...
