Good to hear from you.
I always love your pictures, but that first one in particular is beautifully composed and you really should submit it for POW.
Wall-worthy for sure!
So sorry Manue.
Save your guilt for when you do something bad, and use that energy to remember the best times with your beautiful girl.
She lived a good life, it deserves to be celebrated not weighed down by guilt.
:hugs :hugs:hugs
That is great news!
So I can add it to my chicken health notebook as something to try if the need arises, can you give a bit more detail on what you gave her. Dose, where you found it, did you need a prescription etc.
Thanks.
Thanks @Perris for the suggestion about the comb. I too have one that I used to use on the cats. I will try it on Calypso’s head as she has a few stubborn ones that don’t seem to be coming off on their own.
And thanks @ManueB for reassurance that it doesn’t harm the feathers. I was a bit...
Thank you for the kind words on Bernie and the reminder of The Little Prince.
So wise.
I still have my childhood copy. Maybe I will pull it out and read it again.
I hope so too! I certainly coped better with losing Bernadette-the- brave than I expected and than I did with some of the others.
Partly I think though it was because she had what I will weirdly describe as 'a good death'. Far too young of course, but in her sleep and after a fine dinner.
Who...
Lovely Piou-Piou. A memorial story worthy of her fierce spirit.
I understand that this changed your chicken keeping journey. I experienced something similar after that awful period when I lost so many.
I find though that they have a habit of reasserting themselves into your life however much...
So sorry for Alba.
And yes, balaclava is definitely a word. Sometimes people say 'balaclava helmet' but I always just say balaclava (the helmet seems superfluous).
The word dates from the Crimean war and the battle of Balaclava (1850-something).
