    Yours is what I would expect. Well that is a relief that I wasn't accidently given straight run. Did you find such a color variation and a difference in feathering rates? The curious thing is the darker feathered ones are also the slowest to feather.

    Bantam - White Wynadote??

    It sounds like it has a rose comb. Wyandottes are slow to feather in. It could be a Columbian Wyandotte. Watch to see if it gets some black around the neck and tail feathers. If it has a pea comb which is similar it could be a Cornish.
