So, while mixing the vaccine and withdrawing the undiluted vaccine from the little vile the top tried to come off and some of the undiluted vaccine splashed in my face. I washed it off as best I could. Am I in any danger from this exposure?
I have some new chicks ( 6 days old) that are probably barnyard mixes, but I would like to see if any breeds are dominant in them. Any help appreciated. :)

(Pardon the poop, but it happens)
I am stumped on this one. It is almost 10 weeks old. It doesn't seem to be a slim as some of the white leghorns I have seen picture of, but it doesn't look big and fluffy like a white rock either. Any guesses? I don't know the sex either.
I had a suprize hatch last night at about 3 AM. One of my last two eggs in the incubator pipped. I could see it was having difficulty as it was gasping for air. I chipped a little bit of the shell away and his head was starting to shrink wrap. The membrane hadn't got hard yet, but it was...
I've got seven little ones and one just had an explosive poop. It stretched it's little wings out and literally shot poop out. Also, most of their poop looks green. Is this normal 'newborn' poop for chickens?
When this chick hatched it was pulling the shell around with two thin stringy looking things. I left it alone and it finally freed itself. What I am concerned about it that where the strings were connected to the chick it seems to have pulled the navel out. Does that make any since. You can see...
I have an egg in a still air incubator that has a pale looking circle on the side (inside) that I saw when I candeld. The contents of the egg seem to have all moved and settled to the end where the air cell is. Could this be a blood ring or something else going on?
Looked at my eggs last night and one of them has a rather large air sac. I set them on 5/13. It starts off right where it is supossed to be in the big end of the egg, but then kind of goes off and along part of the side of the egg. The embryo and veins look good. What are ya'lls thought on this?
I have a still air incubator that I set 12 mixed breed eggs in on May 13th. Temp has been between 99 and 101. Humidity has been between 27 and 34 percent. I turn and rotate the eggs three times a day by hand. Does it sound like I'm doing okay or is there something else I need to be doing?
Okay, I have a HOVA-BATOR 1602N TURBO on the way. Does any one have any suggestions for this specific model? This will be my first attempt at hatching. Thanks!
I have six 5-week-old chicks. I believe they are Tetra Tints. Today when I went to let them out to forage I noticed that five of them had bloody and blistery looking ear lobes. It literally looked like a blister filled with blood. All but one of the chicks had this. I removed the one who did...
any ideas on what this chick is?
It has really orange legs and a beak with black on it. It also has a darker top of the head than the other chicks. The others have yellowish/grayish legs, but not this one.
