Ok, so the coop is 32 sq feet so technically 8 standard chickens. By adding the poop shelf I gain a second layer of about 16 sq. feet. So here is the math. If I close the area under the shelf off for storage I only have 16 sq feet of floor space but the coop is 32 sq feet, or if I leave it open...

I understand the concept of putting a 24" buried barrior around the chicken run. However, my coop is 4x8 and sits on a 4x8 slab. Do I need to do something around the areas the the run and coop meet? Or do I need to just put it all around the concrete slab so that can't burrow under the slab? I...
Hello all, we are near Disneyland and want to supply eggs for 3 households. Any suggestions, advise or pics of setups would be great. We are looking at an area of grass put thinking of pouring a slab for them.
