    Adding more to the family

    I just wanted to share that I'm adding three more chicks to my brood. A Blue and Lavender Orpington and a Partridge Cochin. They will arrive in June and couldn't be more excited !!!! I never thought I would love chicken this much!

    First eggs!!!!

    On December 1st, my girls Heads (Plymouth Rock) and Toes (Light Brahma) laid their first eggs! The older hens have stopped laying eggs so when I heard the unmistakable noise coming from the coop, I knew it could only be one thing! It's the little moments in life that make me so happy. .

    The Holy Trinity arrived today! Meet Bertha (Jersey Giant), Hazel (Buff Orpington) and Eloise (Wyandotte). They have had food and water and plenty of naps. So happy to add these gals to the family!

    Thanks for welcoming me. I just ordered 1 buff orpington, 1 black jersey giant and 1 laced wayantotte. They will be my first and can't wait for the girls to arrive. :D
