    Fox attack.

    I had a fox attack one of our Khaki Campbells at 9:20 this morning. You can see the ducks see him before me. Don't think your birds are safe even when your out with them. I was just on the other side of the car in the video with a 2 week old goose when the fox attacked the ducks.

    It's been a rough season for hatching ducks so far. We finally hatched 5 Khaki Campbell eggs. We did 3 sets of almost 40 total and these 5 were from the second set the rest were infertile.     Wild Mallard returns home again.

    We rescued and raised this Mallard 7 years ago. He had a messed up leg and he was a day or two old. He has been coming back every spring and usually has a mate that nest in the pool area. They use the water in the pool cover. This year we are removing the pool and didn't think we would see him.

    My hen wood duck is sick.

    While going out in the aviary this morning I found my hen Wood duck laying on the ground, she had her wings partly open and couldn't stand. I think she is egg bound I'm doing what I can and was suggested by another knowledgeable breeder and am hoping she'll make it.
