Need help with a lump on comb

He doesn't have any other symptoms, acting completely normal, no strange smells, eating good, and poos are OK, no weight loss. Tried searching online but can't find anyone with a picture that looks similar. All other comb things are crusty with discharge, or cuts, or black and crusty etc. He's...

I've received some sort of Bantams..

A man rode past on a horse with these 2 boyos in a bag. I'm hoping someone can tell me what breed they are. He said one was a hen and one was a rooster but I'm not so sure. Any ideas?

Hen with large wound below vent and swollen ears?? Help please

I've tried my best to take a picture but she wouldn't hold still. There is a large cut underneath her vent, I squirted it with a few syringes of salt water. She also has swelling on the white bits on the side of her head (I'm guessing they're her ears??) How could she have gotten cut? And...

Recurring respiratory problems and new chicks..

Hi, I recently separated and treated a hen (she was very sick) with baytril squirted into her mouth. I also treated the rest of the flock for 7 days with baytril in their water as another hen was gurgling but not as bad. This was only a few months ago. I now have a gurgling hen again. Do...

My first chicks are 5&1/2 weeks, how are they doing?

I have just realised my chicks are being fed layers (since birth)! Obviously the reason for the undergrowth. I can't believe I've been so stupid. The poor hens. Do I start feeding starter immediately and just hope for the best?

My first chicks are 5&1/2 weeks, how are they doing?

Also I'm afraid my chicks are under developed judging from pictures of similarly aged chicks. For example check out these legbars at 6 weeks compared to mine: https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/cream-legbars-from-chick-to-adult At 6 weeks they are big hens were as mine are still small. Am I...

My first chicks are 5&1/2 weeks, how are they doing?

Hey everybody I recently hatched 3 eggs in an incubator and the chicks are now about 5&1/2 weeks. I'm keeping them indoors in a homemade brooder with heat lamp. 2 chicks are legbars (one hen, one roo) and I've no idea about the third, all I know is it's a bantam of some type. Can anyone shed...

    Any more Irish here?

Hi all, I'm James. Awesome info on this place so I thought I'd join in the fun. I'm a new hen owner. We rescued 10 RIR ex battery hens and have recently added 4 bramha pullets to the flock. (They are separated at the moment) I also have an incubator and hatched 3 chicks a few weeks ago. Lots...
