I had a hen die last night and I think it was pneumonia. Its rained here for 4 days strait and my chickens got good sized coop and big run but the run is just netting so they get wet. When I found her this morning I did a once over on her no injuries anywhere and they all seemed fine yesterday...

I would say fox as well might be worth buying a cheap trail cam and placing it out to see whats sneaking around your coop at night. I put mine out and within 40yards of my house where we have outside dogs I have had possum, bobcat, coon, fox, and coyote walk right up to my run at night checking for...

I got question want to line breed to a particular rooster how long do I have to keep other roosters penned before their genetics will be out of the hens and the main breeding roosters is all that is left for incubation? They are light brahma's I don't know if that makes a difference or not all...
Take it for a long ride least 10 miles or more and it still may find its way back, don't kill it sorry you lost eggs and they will kill young chicks as well but they also kill rats and mice and poisonous snakes so they pretty beneficial.
It will really depend how far along the turkey eggs where when they was rescued you may have them hatch several days early/late to the chickens that you know what day they was started on.
