As it turns out, there is no regular niacin or B3 in this entire town. It'll be Wednesday before I can get to the next town over to get some nutritional yeast. We've already lost one, I hope this one can hang on. Thanks for the reply!
We have a two week old pekin that is in need of niacin. In the past I crushed up a bit of a niacin tablet, mixed it with water and squirted it down the ducks throat. For the life of me I cannot remember how much I gave her. Anyone have any idea how much if administering this way?
I'm guessing its the yolk sac attached to the cord. I cleaned it all off..... She seems very lethargic but seems to have a lot of spunk left in her. I just don't know what to do for her. :( We're relatively new to chickens.
She was hatched yesterday, clearly a little distressed. what do i do? we've already lost most of the hatch because the mother hen is clearly a bird brain.,
Thanks! I'll see if my feed store carries it. I'd hate to take away her babies if I didn't have to. I might see if she'll tolerate me taking her away just for a feed and a swim a few times a day. She might enjoy the break :D
