I stay busy even if I'm not working... I'm in the middle of restoring a 1982 Corvette that's had a rough life but it's slowly getting better. I should finish up rebuilding the front suspension next week as the factory is closed next week and part of the week after.

Same with the two hens I have you just see some areas with less feathers and the coop is full of feathers each morning as well as feathers all over where they hang out. Mine are mostly done molting too.

I'm down to 2 hens one 7 year old and one 4 1/2 year old. When they are gone I'm out of the chicken business. The last egg I got was on 9/20 so back to store bought eggs now.

My buddy used to say flies only know one way and that's to the other side so if outside they want in and if inside they want out... dunno how true that is.

We are down to 2 hens a 7 year old RIR and a 4 year old Cinnamon Queen. And the same here they are retired and earned it. The scope of things changes so much when you get below a dozen then when your down to 4 they don't eat much feed. I wish I could buy feed by the pound.

We got 2 1/2" of rain yesterday and it rained all day and into the night. The radar screen was totally covered with green and yellow.
How did you guys make out?

Lucy has the green apple trots the last couple of days and today I noticed flies bugging her so I washed her back side off and the flies still were bugging her. Not wanting to deal with fly strike again I put Lucy in a kennel in the Florida room which is screened in and that's keeping the flies...
They do look almost the same, a tobacco horn worm has a red horn and the tomato horn worm has a blue horn. There's some differences in the stripes but the horn is the easy way to tell. They both eat tobacco and tomatoes.
