My feeder is in the coop and they can access 24/7. Yet they still squawk in the morning with plenty of water and food. A pellet block would be a great extra food source for them as you can easily take it in and out of the coop. Their coop and run is very big and has plenty of space to run around...
Thanks for the advice. I think trying to give them little things like mirrors or even a mini xylophone could keep them quiet in the morning. They usually will start squawking at 5:30 and I don't want to wake the neighbours. I'll also try leaving out little pellets for them to scratch about and eat.
