Thank you! I'm happy to see many familiar names.
I changed jobs so I now work from home 100% of the time. I'm hoping to be online a little more again.
I have lots of pictures and updates to share!
Thank you. I've been very busy. All is well. I've been provided with my very own assistant at work. I even got to hand pick her!
The chooks are doing well. I've lost a few here and there, but overall everything is good. Ned is still my leader. Goodie and Livi are both over 4 now.
There's one on the loose in York County, about an hour south of me.
Elvis, the one from Perry County, is still with the young lady that captured him. They have a Facebook page and post regularl updates. They recently gave him an additional 1.5 acres to roam.
Cappy only recently started to crow and he is a full year old now. Cappy was also raise with Thunder, my silkie roo, so he's always been 2nd in command.
He's Ned on Friday with his flock.
He now has 7 hens and 1 junior rooster. I was going to split out Cappy and the 2 black hens into their own coop, but I don't think I will now.
I found that the boys take turns doing escort duty while free ranging. Depending on which hen needs to lay...
Funny you mentioned this...he was just on the local news picking the Super Bowl winner!! 🤣

I'm so far behind again. 😩
This past week was a year that we took Josh in for foster and fell in love with him. He's a quick throw back to no pants Joshie. ❤
His beautiful self yesterday soaking up the heat.
I have some terrible news...
A coyote helped itself to all 3 chooks in my silkie pen and both of my Phoenix. I'm absolutely devastated.
My layer flocks is fine thankfully.
Well, you see, have have a big heart and a hard time saying no. 🤣
They were all rescues/strays of some sort. The mostly white cat, Josh, was a foster fail. He has it so good here this past summer he brought home a starving, pregnant tabby kitten to have her babies here. All the kittens found...
