    I work afternoons, so I don't do anything until after 1:00 pm. I finished my mowing at 8:30 today. But I live out in the country, so I'm not bothering anyone and there's no one to complain.

    I don't think the 2 events are related. Five years is a good life span for chickens. It sounds like your Wyandotte might be egg bound.
