    She hasn't been acting too distressed or unhealthy. It's what azygous said about an infection becoming likely that I'm worried about.

    Okay, yes, that matches up with what I've just been reading, I will do that. Do you think it makes sense to try to buy antibiotics to give her myself (I think my tractor supply sells them)? Especially if I can't get her seen short notice?

    I found some at Walmart and was able to feed it to her pretty easily by crumbling it and washing it down with some water. Thank you so much for your help, hopefully I can get a vet appointment quickly. She has been drinking a decent amount at least.

    Thank you for the reply! Im going to call the vet she goes to in the morning. It's dark right now so she's sleeping, can you tell me if it makes sense to give her the calcium citrate right now? Maybe by syringe feeding?
