    heat light question

    Very important to keep the temps up for the first 4 weeks 24 hours a day and maintain the temp. I have not shut mine off and my babies are now going on 4 weeks. If they get hot they will run away from the heat and if they get cold they will get right near it.

    Chickens Roosting on Nesting Boxes, holy poop - HELP!

    POOP HAPPENS.. They will roost on the boxes and poop too.. just clean it out when it starts to get nasty looking.. be aware tho. Water = mold = sickness .. so make sure you use very little water.. Most of the poop after it drys will just peel off.

    Mine LOVE pumpkin. IT took them a while to get the idea of it but within 4 hours it was GONE.. now I know where to put the kiddies pumpkins and not have the $$$$ wasted.. In the coop the pumpkins will go today.

    I am just using the regular waterer and have my coop heated. Last night it was 29 out and the coop was 60F so.. i dont think the water will freeze but you never know.. Is your coop heated?
