No feathers this is what me me think maybe something was up with her? I’ve watched them all together (I have 5 in total) no one is pecking at her. Just noticed it all of a sudden, very strange? She’s an absolute sweetheart and is so gentle.
Yes we have a drake, he’s a bit clumsy when it comes to mating so I guess that makes sense! Thank you! There weren’t any feathers around which made me question whether she was moulting or not. Should I treat the wing at all?
I was told bumblefoot can take a loooonnggg time to heal and I’m totally committed and determined to get rid of it, but I just wanted some reassurance that I’m on the right track to them being completely healed or if anyone has any advice on how to speed the healing process up?

This is before a soak. I then can peel the scab off very easily and underneath the black is yellow but it’s the amount of bleeding that is concerning me, it just doesn’t seem to stop for ages.
I’ve been battling bumblefoot for 5 months with two of my ducks (Molly and Maggie). Maggie is now booked in with the vet as after being on antibiotics and regular soaks it still looks very angry and just won’t budge.

I am using iodine at the moment as two of my ducks have bumblefoot but I’m unsure as to how often I should be using the iodine. Can you advise me please?
I’ve just seen this post! I know im VERY late to the party and have loved reading the previous posts and looking at the pics/videos, could read this post all day!! Anyway…here are my 5 babies having a snooze (2 peking- Thomas and Maggie , 3 Aylesburys- Molly, Milly and Tiny) thank you for this...
When I very gently pick at it, the black does come away but not in huge amounts. I’m very inexperienced with ducks, this is my first ever flock and I have to say I’m loving it! I’m just desperate to get the foot conditions under control and I’ll do whatever I can/what is advised. I’m in the UK...
Hi, I have a duck with bumblefoot that I am currently treating and seems to be getting better. My issue is that one of my other ducks who I thought may also have bumblefoot has this thick black mass on her feet which is nothing like my other ducks feet. I’ve been soaking her feet in Epsom salt...
Does this look like a severe case? It’s on one of my other girls feet, I’ve been soaking them for a week now and it does slowly seem to be getting better. Any thoughts?
Hi, sorry to hear your duck has a limp ☹️My girl didn’t make a full recovery, but she lives a very happy, pain free life just with a little limp, some days she’s better than others. She still manages to keep up with everyone else 🥰 I gave her as much swim time as was possible and I believe this...
