I have six babies… About 4 to 5 weeks old. They are supposed to be blue red lace Wyandottes, but there may be a Swedish flower mixed in. What do y’all think? I know it’s hard to tell from the picture, but it kinda looks like one of them might be a Swedish Flower…and possibly another one.
I have 27 hens, that haven’t laid an egg since mid December. They range from almost 4 years, this spring, three years, two years and some that will be a year old in May. They are Wyandotte, Rhode Island Red, barred rock, sapphire, gem, Americana, frizzle, white leghorn, and copper maran. The two...
The silver one, I still don’t know what it is.
The other one is obviously a Wyandotte…..but doesn’t look like the other silver laced OR gold laced…..so what do y’all think?
Bought these three at the same time….sold as blue/red laced wyandottes. One is totally different than the other two. Wondering if any of them are blue/red laced? Can anybody tell?
We have four 7-8 week old Wyandotte chicks. Hoping they are all hens, and look it to me….but I don’t always know how to tell either. What do y’all think?
She’s sitting on them all day….sometimes two..,,,then will just leave and find another nest. I don’t know if she’s laying or not….I assume she is, but don’t really know.
I have a broody hen. She will sit on the nest all day with eggs underneath her (sometimes up to two days).....and then will switch to another nest box with nothing underneath her. I don't know whether to leave the eggs and see if she will return, or just gather them (as I have been...
Also…..in the same bunch….I know I have one rooster….he’s crowing and everything. Tonight however, I got to noticing one of the others tail feathers. Think this is another rooster, or just another hen? Haven’t noticed any crowing….like I said, just noticed tail feathers.
This hen is one of 7 that was sold as Sapphire Gems. She’s been laying green eggs….finally caught her as to the one doing it. So, is she actually an Easter egger?
Thanks!
