    Hi, my silkie started with what looked like a prolapsed vent…a couple days later and it looks like this (the green is bedadine from when I cleaned the area). I have a vet Saturday but anything to be done??

    She’s been like this pretty much all day. I’ve moved her a couple times to get water and she is drinking. I added electrolytes. Could this be her just waiting to lay again?

    Yes, she layed yesterday. They get occasionally some kale or mealworms. She eats mostly feed. She is laying mostly in nesting area so maybe that is an indicator?

    My silky hen just started laying eggs a month ago. But this past week she’s been laying around a lot, she’s still excited for treats and drinking fine, could this be because she’s laying?

    Help! Not sure what is going on with my silkie

    Thanks for your help! I only have been home about 3 days so that’s when I noticed it. She is acting fine as far as energy but has been pecking at it so I think she’s uncomfortable. Here’s a couple other pics. Thx for the suggestion of coconut oil, she just gobbled some down.

    Help! Not sure what is going on with my silkie

    She’s only 2-3 lbs, doesn’t eat many treats, mostly purina crumbles and I keep oyster shells on hand. She has not yet Lang. She seems to be straining when she’s pooping and only a little bit comes out.
