No streamers...yet. So strange. No crowing. I may just have to wait for it to either lay or not. Lowest silkie on the totem pole for sure. Whichever it is, very sweet. So he or she is welcome to stay!

Hi guys! I picked up a couple silkies today. The buff one I can tell is a girl but the black one has a pretty noticeable comb and small wattles. The guy said they were over 6 months but he wasn't sure who lays what with so many chickens. No crowing from the black one yet and he's pretty squatty...

Thanks for responding to you both! He is one of my favorites. I have 2 frizzles in this bunch. If the other turns out to be a pullet, I guess I'll eventually have to keep them in separate pens. I was hoping my 2 frizzles were both girls just so I wouldn't have to worry. Thanks again!

Thank you! There's a a woman I met that buys fertilized eggs from a breeder in MN. She had extras from this hatch so I bought 3 from her...wish I would've bought more from her! They are beautiful quality.
