I do keep my Drakes separate from my hens. I plan on keeping two of my drakes, which is hard because I already love three. I currently have five maybe six😅. But all the other drakes hormones have kicked in yet so they’re still acting like cute cuddly ducklings.

Where did you get them? I used to have coturnix quail and I could only find them from breeders or as eggs. And coturnix quail don’t go broody often so the chances of another quail adopting your chicks are very slim, especially considering there age. I hope you can find them a home😊.

I had to help a lot of them hatch two of them I tried not helping and they died so definitely keep a close eye on them while they’re hatching. Two died after they hatch because of choking on the food so also be careful with that. Hope all goes well. Sorry for the late reply.

Well, he’s not that nice to them. Also, they’re right next to each other so they can see and hear each other.

They do get lots of sunlight and the drake is kept in a separate pen. And there’s no kids chasing them. I’m really confused.😅
