Here she is at 24 weeks! She’s a very BIG girl.. & towers over the Plymouth, barnie & Ancona. Check out her feet 👀 should hopefully start laying soon 🥚
Cute birds! We rescued a chick & were given no information on her.. I suspected there might have been aracauna because of pea comb & slate legs.. she’s just started laying the most beautiful green eggs! She looks very different to your birds. They all come in different shapes & sizes.
Hi all,
My chickens comb looks really dry. It’s been like this for months. The whole flock has recently been treated for mites, lice & worms & it hasn’t changed.
Also- what sort of comb is it?
How are your babies going? I’ll attach a pic of my 18 week old pullet. I would love to see how yours have developed & who turned out to be pullets/cockerels
Help! My daughter found these small white bugs crawling on our eggs in the coop. The egg was cold when she brought it in. I checked the coop & I can see the tiny & slow moving bugs. Are these mites? If so- what type? If not, are they a different type of pest?
No, they didn’t.
They have Plymouth rocks, light Sussex, Easter eggers, vorwerks, australorp, Polish, silkie, Belgian duccle.
I’ve found another person who bought from her & their female light sussex have all appeared like this
Here he/she is at 17 weeks. She’s very big- massive feet! Her feet are bigger than my 10month Ancona’s feet.
That being said- is she still looking like a pullet?
Gee it’s so hard! It’s developing so slow. Compared to the other it looks way more cockerel. We currently have 9 chickens in suburbia when our coop is only built for about 5 hens (very squishy at night) 🤷♀️ don’t know who to get rid of because our other mystery breed chicken is also a slow...
I really enjoyed this update. Thank you for sharing these pictures. Your babies look like they are thriving 😍
I think my little Odette looks similar to your Cloudy. First two pics are Odette at 12 weeks. She is very relaxed and calm.
The next pics are ‘Giraffe’ who has been extremely dominant...
Hi everyone, so I’ve had another theory come to light: this chicken is a barred rock from two dark barred parents. The white is recessive. This fits with breeders claims that pens are secure. Thoughts? Chicken is now 12 weeks.
