    for young ducklings i think personally fine wood shavings work the best. can go a couple days without changing and if its outside can stir it up and extend the life some. and doesn't break the bank

    i agree as why i said supervised visits. but imo keeping a duck by itself is neglectful. just my opinion maybe rehoming is the best bet..

    i personally would avoid using hay or straw.. when it gets wet it gets slimy.... not bad for the ducks. not so great for us to walk on and or pick up when cleaning. what you have otherwise will last a long time! i mean eventually the poop will catch up depending how many ducks you got.

    I personally would put her out there and see what happens. supervised visits one would say all my ducks get put in with the adults at full feathering which is around 5 weeks. i don't get to many problems with overly aggressive drakes. but it happens i separate that drake for awhile.

    itll def help prolong the poop mess but it is inevitable. speciallt when winter hits. all the poo will create a layer you cant just wash off and cant wash it off when its freezing... the best and only true method to keep your lawn is moving them around.

    i have a few ducks that refuse to go in the pools theyll drink out of em but will not go in. i just let them make there decisions
