Well thats probably wwhy I couldn't find anything like him. i sure do love his coloring though. Can't wait to see what they throw! All i know is that the hens mom was a white/silver runner and her dad was a blue or black swedish.
I recently got a purebred runner drake and I can not figured out what color he is. He's blue with chocolate over his back and is bibbed. I can't find a name for his color os similarly colored runners. Here a pic. He's the one on the left
Also if bred to a blue splashed (runner x...
My hen hatched out 7 chicks on Aug. 12-13th. I took them and have had them in the brooder. I was looking at them and noticed my favorite, Penguin, is VERY mature. I'v never seen a chick at 3 weeks with this much red comb and waddles. BTW their all mutt chicks.
Every guy has his "type" lol My older Roo, Sparky, loves the black/mostly black hens. He sits on the very top roost with my 4 Black Ausrtalorps and my mostly black Barred Rock mix. and when ever he gets out the coop he always has one of the Australorps with him. So my guestion is: Does your Roo...
Thanks guys. This is very hard for all of us, esspecially my little siblings. We've had her since she was an hour old and I even fixed her feet with band-aids.
Beep Beep has sadly passed on ='( I was looking for a latch for the pen as my little brother kept opening the cage. Well he left it open and Beep Beep got out......Our dog got ahold of him and he passed on. He will be deeply missed
Thanks =) If anything we thought we might loose Beep Beep as she has issues at hatch and feet issues but no it was her perfectly healthy sibling that died outa no where. But hey thats life, lost one but gained 3. Rainbow even looks like Salt(the one we lost). At first Beep Beep had no idea what...
As some of you know Beep Beeps sibling died about a week ago and she was lonely.I was finally able to find some chicks her age! They are 2 days younger but have more feathersany explantion for that?(I think Beep Beep was a day premature as my cousin helped her hatch and she didn't do so well the...
I know how to train them(as you explained above) BUT the other dogs are not mine and the owners are NOT consistant in training so it is just a waste of time as I'v tried to get them to train with me but they blew it off. So the dogs just aren't allowed out off leash.
I got lucky with my last dog. She'd never been around chickens and never even tried. They were her babies. Our other 3 dogs(2 small and 1 big) would rip em to shreds if given the chance. The large dog actually got ahold of one and luckly only got a few mouth fulls of feathers before we pried her...
So I'v been worning on introducing my puppy young to the chickens so she doesn't end up like the rest the dogs in the house(chicken eaters) and well she's TERRIFIED of the big chickens(maybe a good thing?) Well we decided to introduce her to Beep Beep our single 16 day old chick. Well my puppy...
Yes the temp stayed pretty constant at 90 F and he could get away from it if needed. He was 5 days old. I also cleaned his bum if there was poo on it.
Edit: Just wanted to add that he was eating/drinking just fine this morning. My mom thinks maybe seizure? Any one have any experiance with them?
My baby chick that was doing so well(the black one) showed no issues since birth just died. I checked on him about 15 min ago and he had his eyes closed and was rocking/shaking forward and back. I poked him and picked him up and he was still doing it. He had yellowish gooy poo on his bum. I just...
He started walking pretty normal last night with his band aids on. So this morning I took them off and his feet are better! They do curve in some but he can walk! He was so confused when i took them off he didn't know what his toes where and keeps pecking at them lol.
