    The coop has plenty of ventilation. At the top there is a 1ft tall by 8ft long vent and a 12 in vent fan on the rear. The run will have a 25ft tarp on top of plus they can get under the coop. This is just a small 4x7 spot I let them go outside for a lil bit some timeshope this keeps them cool

    My chicks are around 4 weeks old. Im took them out earlier to let them play and get use to being outside. Its about 82 with a real feel of 85. Now we were only out there for a few minutes and I think they were already getting too hot. So now I'm worried on when they have to go outside permanent

    Thinking of adding a 4x8 add on to my coop. That would make it 8x12.I have 9 chicks at the moment and have 6 more coming in July and 6 in October. Would that be big enough for them? The run is gonna be 15 wide 35 long, still playing with those measurements

    Thanx for the advice ill have to get sum oatmeal. Not yet, supposed to be in this week maybe tomorrow. And I ended up ordering 25lb bag of duckling starter feed. Also gonna get sum brewer yeast been reading in the duck section that pekings need extra niacin.

    So I've been to 4 different farm stores and nobody has any duckling food only one type of pellet food for grown ducks and only a couple bags. I guess every one feeds them chick feed when they are young but I've heard chick feed doesn't have the correct amount of niacin. Thoughts?

    Sorry to hear, we had a shit ton of rain yesterday. Messed up my plans for the next couple of days. Need to start on my coop, finish tilling my garden and get my fruit trees planted. Also have my ducks coming next week.

    Im with @jvls1942 id put a wood slat over it. It's a cheap fix thats very strong and cleans up the look very nicely

    Got as far as im gonna get today. That tiller wore me out. Its all new ground with lil treasures I had to find like pipes rocks broken cement blocks and random other crap but I got pretty far all things considered. Still gonna go back over it and maybe add a row or 2 later.

    Thats definitely a great idea, it puts it up high and it's steady so they can't move it. I forgot mine had legs on it so I folded them out to get it off the ground

    I was doing paper towel for the first week and today there hemp bedding came in and I was so excited for my chicks to get there first real bedding until not even an hour later I look down and see this 🤭🤭🤭
