AH putting the trim inside is so simple! *facepalm*
Well I may do that since I want whatever lock to be flush with the door to ensure a tight close. I’ll still include stills of me opening the door.
Hey all, I’m looking for some help. Does anyone have any idea what I could do to lock my coop door? I had to add 1/2 inch thick trim in to cover the gap in the wooden panels.
HOWEVER, now I think I’ve ruined my chance for a sliding bolt/padlock set up :/
Do you think that I can still use 90...
You inspired me! I went for it. Instead of using wood as a track I used metal shelving rods. I noticed the shelves at Home Depot fit/slid perfectly in them and could be screwed into two wooden posts easily.
I made the opening smaller than the door by about an inch on the sides and 3 inches from...
its about 6 inches. I found a link from a BYC member who posted to youtube a while ago. I may try to copy their method. I've always had a lock on my doors but it seems some people don't. Is there a consensus on that?
So we are trying to attach a run I made to the coop and have a relatively simple door my family can easily close and open. It is not easy to get to the back of the coop because of a stone wall surrounding it and rose bushes. So we are looking for something easy to close and open hopefully from...
I am cutting vertical boards. I think Pine. There is no siding on the coop thankfully. I was thinking of either putting in a flap or maybe a vertical sliding door with a gravity lock to make it easier. There are so many options!
