    We would love that! We had a pair of song sparrows that nested in a blue fountain bamboo thicket in our yard for years. We'd look forward to seeing them each spring.

    They're supposed to be near here and the new place all year round. We'll set out nest boxes and see what we get. We get an amazing variety of birds here in Potland (was going to correct the spelling but this is Portland so good enough :)) so I am betting it'll be even better at the coast.

    Nearly impossible to get the peas started too early. So easy to get them going too late.

    I enjoyed mine. Mostly sold aquariums and fish but we also had small pets and birds. We'd take in kittens and puppies, get their shots and find them homes. Never made a dime on the puppies and kittens but they were a good draw and so much fun. We were going to start seeds on the front porch...

    I used to run a pet store (MANY years ago)and we used to order hemp seed for birds that were not thriving. It was supposed to increase their appetites. No idea if that was just bunk or not.
