I just re-potted my kumquat and banana tree in stagreen tree and shrub soil I added some perlite and azomite and mycorrhizae . I found a large fat worm in my kumquat pot. Yeah!

We have the pine bark beetles as well. Moths that lay the apple head lave killed out apple trees. It just kills me! We invested all that time into growing them only to have something that stupid kill them. But the grubs were the worst here.

Yes, beneficial nematodes. See if you can get them at a local feed store so they are fresh and refrigerated. If not you can get them on Amazon but look for a seller with good reviews. And they should come with a cold pack. And put them in the fridge till you use them.

If your planting pine trees at your place the Japanese beetles will devour them. Beneficial nematodes will eat the larvae and get rid of the grubs before they get your plants and trees. Just a thought. They wiped out all our pines.

We've never had a problem with deer before. Just saw signs of the one recently. But I don't think it's been back.

Until this year our dogs would not let any critters on our place. But they are very old and stay on the shed. So we get critters of all kinds. I don't care if a deer wants to est them. They will grow back.
