Remember this cat? It came to eat chicken feed almost every day for about 5 months a row.
Here its happy with an abandoned yoghurt treat I gave my chickens 15 minutes before I took this photo.
I looked if anyone was missing her and called an animal rescues/the animal ambulance. But she wasn’t...
I made a mistake typing chicken, I knew it was a cat. 🙀 And know I remember you told before the owner had died.
Giving food is very sweet. Hope she (?) is neutered when she’s living outdoors like that.
Can’t you adopt this cat? Im sure there are ways for that if the new neighbours don’t care...
🤪 At this moment Katrientje was eating inside the coop. My neighbours cat was waiting her turn to get in for some chicken food.
🧡 These neighbours love their cats and keep them inside during the night.
🥘 Their vet tells them to give not much food for their health. But the cats obviously don’t...
🥚. We have 1 bantam pullet laying 4-5 eggs a week at the moment. Thats a bit tight for 2 persons. But we manage, we don’t bake cakes and only need 2 small eggs for a veggie pie.
Its nice we don’t need to buy xtra supermarket eggs. We buy enough extra eggs indirectly with all the biscuits...
Sorry about the chicks.
What a difference between Ha’penny and my Ini mini. Ini mini was a wonderful broody together with Black. Black stop mothering when she got hurt, but Ini mini never stoped caring for the Amrocks who are grown up, and 2 twice her size now. They still make a team after 6-7...
Is there a reason not to start now?
Bantams don’t need much space, aren’t much work, they are lovely companion and give the sweetest small eggs.
The dog might be a problem though unless he thinks the chickens are a kind of sheep. 🙈
