Yup! I call him Lord Rex 🤣
Thanks, I've been trying to fix his problems with his feet since he has metabolic bone disease and it affects the way his feet are, but luckily he's getting a bit better and can kinda fun now!
i have been using a heat gun to check around his setup to make sure its at the right temps, i have a de-humidifier in my room as i know its not safe for bearded dragons to have lots of humidity. Is that safe?
okay, i definitely have some sealant and im hopeful this will work out and i will get him a nice bioactive setup, he seems to sleep a lot recently and im not too sure why, like he gets up and goes to his heat lamp and eats when i feed him but he kinda just sleeps all day. i hope giving him a...
awesome thanks for the advice! i think i will use grout to put over the foam and add in some red sand\rocks to give it a more natural feel to where he'd live in the wild.
i need an opinion! i've been looking at terrariums and im wondering if a wooden terrarium is safe for a dessert bioactive setup? the substrate will be made of sand, dessert soil, clay, and it will have spring tails. in also planning on having lots of rocks with a foam background so is it okay...
his bioactive substrate would allow me to add in a bit of clay so he can make burrows and the background will be made from foam so i can hopefully make him an awesome looking burrow area for him to hide!
from the reasearch i've done im sure he will love a burrow and the ability to dig. in the...
ah okay i understand a bit better know! thanks! i was doing a bit of 2am research on bearded dragons as one does at 2am in the morning and i saw that bearded dragons will eat other tiny tiny baby bearded dragons and other small lizards or small baby birds like the button quail native to where...
huh i might have to try keeping one! i do see my chickens eat them when they get the chance and you're right due to the possible problems Rex probably shouldn't eat them.
My chickens like eating those. I've always wondered if it was safe to feed my bearded dragon rex the baby garden skinks. They are barely bigger than the crickets so 🤷♂️
I everyone! I can't remember if I have talked to anyone in this thread or if it was another thread however I have reptiles of my own! This is Timo! He is almost 30 years old and I adopted him from a friend. I moved him inside for the winter as we have been getting lots of freezing rain and it's...
I'm planning on getting a bioactive terrarium for him so he can has lots of things to do and I can get him off that wood. I also want to get him a good substrate he can safely burrow in and plenty of cork bark that he can climb on!
Oh my god, thank you so much!!! I will be sure to give him much more variety with his greens and veg. I will try to find some multi vitamin when I get new food. Your clutch is so adorable I wish I had a ball python!
Yes I dust all his food with calcium. I got the uvb bulb that is needed for bearded dragons and he has a cool area and a warm area. I really do want to eventually get him a bigger bioactive dessert like setup but I simply don't have that kind of money. And I'm saving up to get him a better...
