One of my silkies isn’t quite right. Her beak is a bit twisted like it was put on at an angle. I’ve also noticed she walks with a bit of a hitch. And she is just thin. She doesn’t act sick and if one of the bigger chickens wants her to move she can move quickly. A lot of this I didn’t notice...

Sadly, I live in town. Plus I know for a FACT one of two neighbors would complain, maybe both. Neither live right next door but close enough they’d most likely hear a rooster.

Dumb question. I know people on here enjoy breeding colors so thought someone might have an idea, would it be possible to breed a silkie that had an egg color other than tint? Like blue, or green? Could you introduce a colored egg gene and then re breed for silkie but keep the colored egg...
