I think coordination issues can arise with Merek's in birds that develop tumors from it, but don't quote me on any of this.

I was beginning to wonder about just this. All my Buckeyes are going through a thing, I've dosed all, but one (with Ivers) who up until now was picture perfect. One is recovering, one has stabilized, another may be on the recovery, and now my perfect girl...
However! My Jersey's remain totally...
I read if they were vaxed at the hatchery then they won't develop tumors. I'm wondering myself. According to this page: https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/ps044
It's a web forum take what you will from it and go from there. I don't think there's any motive other than to help and share experience or what seems to work for us.
I'm skeptical about trusting everything the institution says when so many people have complaints about doctors steering them in the wrong direction or not at all.
If we use this simple logic you applied to it, we could just as well say it's not in the interest of pharma to promote free natural...
Will have to try this, mine is getting worse, and now no one has Ivermectin 1% pour on, otherwise I'll have to figure out how to use the injectable.
I may have some coconut on hand though.
Ok I'm marking you down as a for Ivers straight-up vote. I was tempted the other day, but the price tag held me back and at the time I wasn't sure about dosage.
Sorry about that grammar! Had to make an edit there... I was just thinking you went straight to Ivers. I'm reading that you would first start with a specialized dewormer and move to Ivers so as to prevent a mass worm/parasite die off in the bird which could cause either protien over load or an...
Sorry if I've gotten any this wrong or missing anything, but would the Ivermectin treat anything else? I wonder if there were a strong case of worm, or maybe none at all? If as I read there were no or minimal risk of protein overload or blockage due to massive worm die off.
So you just went straight Ivermectin? I am going order something today, and I read starting first with Wazine then followed up by Ivermectin due to something about the cost of Ivermectin and protein overload if you kill all the worms off?
I'm so glad I read this, although been lucky with early frosts followed by nice thaws that allow the birds to get back out and forage. This I think inhibits some of the parasites. But had some areas I need to address on the property that need drainage so not to contribute to the...
