You're knowledgeable yourself, so don't sell yourself short. We can't know everything in every facet, and I've seen you across the site with knowledge in other areas too. Forums like this are amazing for that reason. Hopefully the bleach water sanitation works. I've seen other people do it with...

I had a hatchery partridge rock and she was the BROODIEST bird. Worse than my Brahma hens. Not sure if that's desirable for you or even a trait in these particular partridge rocks. I have no idea where my neighbor got her from hatchery wise but she'd sit on rocks if she could.

If you've said this anywhere and I missed it I am so sorry. About what age do you usually cull your extra roosters you know you don't want? I've got some extra males i know aren't going to be making it to 6 months, probably closer to 4.5/5 months depending on their hormones. 🥴

Good night! Don't you just love having a bird like that? It's just the best. I hope she makes a good stock or sausage for you.

What's your general recipe for sausage? Any favorite grinder or anything? I hatch eggs sometimes and get a lot of extra boys, but I don't have much freezer space for whole birds. Sausage sounds like a nice way to go about it. Forgot to ask about deboning and what all of the innards, if any...

We haven't had rain in 2 months or so in this part of Oklahoma. I'll happily take a good rain storm, too, if you're tired of it.

Every yellow chipmunk chick I've ever hatched has been a boy, while tan/reddish brown ones have been girls. I wonder if that will be the same with these guys.
