Soo, I've been eyeing up those kitchen composters for winter kitchen compost and I was always thinking it looks like a bread machine....Soo can I get a cheap one at Goodwill and try it? What do you guys think?
Love this thread!
I cook most of our meals, sticker shock still gets me when I grab meals out, 40 bucks for lunch for two people is insane. We go out like once or twice a year 😂.
Does anyone here make their own cleaning products? I've made my own degreaser with orange peels and vinegar...
I see bamboo growing wild in places where I live, would it need to be completely dry before using it? Or will it take root if it's still green. We have so many invasive species I would hate to add to it.
Thoroughly wash and cook up radish greens, they're a little bitter but great as a veggie.
If you have spoiled raw milk, dilute it and pour at base if trees I had two trees that were struggling and now they have rebounded.
I love the hack of planting in boxes. I did the same thing this year.
Neither one is
Nether one is sustainable, the metals needed are finite. Fossil fuels are finite. I don't know what the answer is, but I couldn't do solar or battery until they can recycle, otherwise it's just more toxic trash at a higher pace then with combustion engine vehicles, etc.
I can't buy into solar, the mining for the minerals is harmful and uses gas powered vehicles, refinement, same thing... Then assembled and shipped, and at end of life can't be recycled.
Haha! Same! It's so funny though I only really started sweating after I started working from home during COVID. I used to overheat all the time because I would never sweat, even while working out. I wonder if it's because I was in climate controlled environment all the time.
Agreed 100%! Except yogurt and sour cream. The meat is usually pretty low quality, I usually pass on it. Once you have farm fresh meat sometimes we can't even eat the organic from the grocery store.
I grew my own carrots and beets two years ago, they were small but the best ones I've ever had.
Also, go to discount stores, I score cheap shelf stable items, even if it's expired by a month or two. Cheap OTC meds, shampoo,. conditioner, sauces that you may want to try but don't want to spend $5 in case you dont like it.
