Hi! They are okay. Still raspy breathing/rales and some sneezes, and the Wyandotte that was sooo messed up by the cocci is now hoarse? But no other symptoms as far as I can tell and poops look good. They are eating, drinking, and scratching around so I’m just hoping they’re not suffering...
Okay, thanks everyone!
I was tempted to get another Olive Egger from the Dare2Dream batches expected tomorrow if I had to send back a roo from this lot, but I’ll try to hold strong... 😄
They are about 3 weeks.
I misinterpreted the comb info here (pea comb more likely to be female, but doesn’t mean straight comb is a roo).
That spot on her head has me wondering, but if she’s legbar/Marans mix then they’d all have it...
‘She’ also appears to have a single row straight comb and not a pea comb. Also indicative of cockerels in Olive Eggers according to sources online.
Looking for confirmation… anyone?
I picked up 4 chicks from Hilltop last week and I ended up with only one Olive Egger instead of two, and now I’m worried ‘she’ is not even going to give me green eggs.
She has a white spot on her head which I’m seeing online indicates a cockerel, because some Olive Eggers combos are sex linked...
