    Can you eat a bird killed using this method, or is this strictly for putting down a sick or injured bird for humane reasons only? And I was going to ask if, using the following method, can you bleed out the bird thoroughly, but I think you answered that. But ... do you fire down into the ground?

    I got rid of my 9mm with the slide that my arthritic hands couldn't operate and purchased a .22 revolver. It's just for dispatching varmints such as opossums. We had one helping itself to our chicken feed last week and I suspect it may be getting eggs. Next I suppose I need a camera.
