Going over to my sister's today, to help her plant her garden. She bought raised beds and she is very nervous that she will do something wrong. This is her first garden on her own, we've had gardens growing up. I told her, better late than never. Now to teach her to can
I used that stuff last year and ended up getting two wild birds stuck in it. One I was able to rescue and the other died. We put a frame around the blueberries this year and still used that stuff. I forgot how much I hate it
Finished my garden today. 42 green bean plants, carrots, strawberries, lavender, chamomile. Got all that in then remembered that I wanted to do broccoli
I got my tomatoes and peppers planted today but I forgot to put my crushed eggshells in with the tomatoes! Think if I powdered them then put them in water for a few days then used that to water, that it would put enough calcium into the plants?
I've been hardening off my seedlings for awhile now. I plan on keeping them out overnight now. I need to find out if they will make it or if I will have to buy plants
Got my onions in today. Planted them by my blueberry bushes, they are good companion plants. I need to get my broccoli in but I started it from seeds and they are pretty little yet
Got my spinach and lettuce planted, in large rectangular pots. I also need to do my onion sets but haven't yet. But I also weeded my flower bed, felt good to get that done
My seedlings came up quick but they are very leggy and weak. Not too happy. But I repotted quite a few and turned off the heat mats, read that when the soil gets too warm, they get leggy. Hoping they get stronger, it's getting too late to start any more
