Tag me when you candle please as I want to know how you like that flashlight you bought. I still haven't bought one yet. I have the little box for it to make a DYI candler and gave up researching how many lumens I would need. Some said 300, some said 3,000 and some said even higher than that...
Check this out. Homemade! Similar type so you could have two hands free.
Here's a possible flashlight we could use. It's $15. 10,000 lumens. The box is free, so this would cost us half the price and probably is better.
My assumption is there was no more room in the incubator, so this is a homemade version for excess eggs. I could be wrong though, but in a pinch, I've seen others do similar to this and hatch eggs just fine. I think the only issue is the heat isn't uniform due to there being no little fan...
Thank you. I read every post. It was very illuminating.
:gig Sorry. I just couldn't resist.
So I went and compared what they said with that one in my Amazon cart that you posted, and noted they don't say. One comment: "I expected the candler too have more defined quality’s then it has. My...
I've had that exact one in my Amazon cart for nearly a month I think. I have an NR360 with candler on it that has been doing fine so not sure I can justify it but if it's brighter, it's better! These silkie eggs can sometimes be hard for me. Either it's super thick shells or darker ones.
Mine are inside too, and mine roost on them too. I think it's a silkie thing. 😇
They never liked the roosts so we took them out. I put stall freshener (cheap version of PDZ) on top so the poops dry out.
