Personally I’d probably check it in about 3.5 hours so that you are splitting the time. But I might be too paranoid and chances are it will be fine overnight. Maybe take off the plastic overnight and just keep humidity around 70% in case it manages to get in trouble with the plastic?
That’s great that it is peeping. Are the veins receding? I can’t see them in the video. Maybe take a pic of the membrane using the flash on your phone/camera. I would keep the membrane moist and watch the veins to see if they start getting thinner
What about making a safety hole now, and then in a few hours slowly start expanding the hole to see what is going on. If you aren’t seeing a lot of veins, and it hasn’t internally pipped, I would try opening the membrane just above it’s bill.
Call ducks seem to have such a high Hatch failure...
Does it still look like in the video you posted above?
If it hasn’t internally pipped, I don’t think the safety hole will help but I also don’t think it will hurt (someone more experienced may be able to tell you if I’m wrong). So I might go ahead and make a tiny safety hole with a screw or...
Not to scare you, but I tried a dry incubation (humidity 30-40%)with my last batch and I lost 50% of the eggs in the first 2 weeks. I know dry incubation works great for many people, but for whatever reason it doesn’t seem to work for me
I hope the rest of your eggs survive 🤞🤞
