Ive got an old French Prov. white dresser that I wanted to paint over...tacky design and gold handles, bleck! I think the top is veneer however the rest of the body looks like pure wood, no particle boards, good solid dresser! I would love to "dress" that baby up!

What's the difference between those two type of woods?

Just awesome. Stuff like that don't come by often and they do demand high prices! I hope someone with furniture restoration will answer...I'd like to know too in case I do get a dresser.
