I have 5 red sex links, four rir, one light Brahma, 6 Easter eggers, one cuckoo maran, twelve that I have no idea, hatchery choice for Brown egg layers,5 red laced Cornish, and four brown Cornish.
My honest opinion, you want a great dual purpose bird. White rocks. Biggest girls on my run bigger than rir and with a Cornish game roster you ban breed Cornish cross
I don't know what they would cost sold in smaller amounts but I do see a bundle of 50 chicks cor 94 dollars roundabout. Its less than 2 dollars a chick which I think would be a great solution. I cannot believe their egg production is so high either. It lists them as laying around 200-300 eggs...
So I checked on the site for Cackle Hatchery and they sell your type of quail, if you want I can check the prices but I know you will have to order them from there. It seems like a very good solution to getting more since it isn't all that far of a drive for you.
You would be doing good to search the Lebanon area and even cackle hatchery for some more quail. They may not be the quality you are looking for though. There are many swap meets in the summer and I would suggest hitting those up as well. I would say it is time to load up with rocksalt.
My goodness I almost forgot. You all know how you hear people saying I "hate" something? Well I was one of those people about geese until I got that pair of Africans. These are by far some of the best pets I have ever had for outside. They weed in the garden with me, follow me like lost puppies...

So I got my geese this spring. Africans from a neighbor, a pair of them. Will she probably go broody this coming season, does anyone know? I am going to keep the geese and probably raise the babies for meat and am hoping for a decent return from these great pets. I really thought I hated geese...
