We were able to see the northern lights too! It was beautiful. I am so glad we live rural so we've got dark skies.

Our pond has finally filled up again.

88 degrees up here in NWMO today. I had to put up a shade cloth so the girls would have more shaded space to spread out.

Unfortunately we had to cull her. :-(

One of my favorite ladies appears to be egg bound. I've given her the Epsom soak, some calcium and a bit of oil at the vent, but I'm worried for her.

I'm ready for spring.

We got 2.5 inches of rain and thunder booming all night, but the hail mostly missed us. And my plum tree still has some blooms on it. We really needed the rain.

Yesterday was the most odd weather I can recall.

My silkie hatched her chicks. I moved them all into the brooder pen tonight.

My two silkies are broody. One managed to hide two from me until I could see eyeballs while candling, so of course I'm letting them hatch. I have a hard time saying no to broody mamas.

My husband installed a new, extra large mailbox today. Amazon has started routing pretty much all packages via USPS. I felt so bad that our mailman had to come up to the house so often.

It got up to 37 today, everyone was out enjoying the weather.

When I got outside this morning I caught myself thinking 12 degrees with sun and low wind felt warm. :lau Really looking forward to 30 degrees today.

@Adorae if you can block wind from blowing on the waterers it helps a lot.

-14 this morning. The high is supposed to be-1. I have closed my banties into their coop, but the big girls seem happy enough to go out into their covered run.
