I tried to give her the chicks. She cooed, and settled down, but one of the chicks would not stay under her where he belonged. She got frustrated, started pecking at him lightly. Basically using her beak to make him stay under her. Then the other started moving around, crying, trying to climb...
Hatched butt-side up at about 9 last night. Biel x JG x JG. One more hatched at 6 this morning. Three to go, two not yet internally pipped but they were alive last night.
She has three eggs left. I put a cage around her because the other birds were eating the food I put out for her and her chicks. Somehow she got out, and then couldn't get in again. I caught her and put her back on her nest.
