I usually try not to go over 55 when hatching, but I see people go to around 70, I assume the fluctuations would be o.k. but I'm just not sure.
I do know for me and where I live, I have a better hatch rate and less problems when humidity is lower.
Do you remember what your humidity ran with the Polyester lace?
Also, is your weather more humid this time of year vs. last time you hatched?

I was hoping to hear better results from the shoe string method, but I may still give it a try.
It seems like I have to babysit mine as is, so it's worth a shot anyway.
I just watched a quick video of it.
The shoestring I suppose will wick the water into the incubator. Might be something to try.
I've found it tedious to control humidity in the NR360, could just be me, but I don't have the same problem with my "cheaper" Farm Innovators incubator.
Had to look it up.
All I can tell you is try it out and see how well it works for you.
