Hello! As some of you know, I have been going through some costly veterinary treatments for my ailing rooster, Baron Rufflerump. I am hoping to sell a few little original commissions.

I would be delighted to create a painting of your favorite hen, rooster... duck, goose, peacock, quail-- whatever bird is closest to your heart! I work with ink and fine artist's watercolors, on heavyweight illustration board. The bold ink lines combined with rich, bright watercolor paints bring a lot of personality into these paintings. These commissions being offered are "ACEO" size. ACEO stands for Art Cards (Editions and Originals).
The card is 2.5" x 3.5" and they look super cute in a little frame, sitting on your desk or coffee table!
Or maybe you need a wee portrait of your chicken hanging in your kitchen? Or on your bedside table... with their perky face to greet you when you wake up? No? Well, some of us are a bit nutty over our chickens, so I had to ask!

All I need from you is a photo or three of the bird you'd like me to paint, and what breed they are.

Shipping is FREE to anywhere in the USA. Please contact me if you are not in the US for a shipping quote!

Edit: I underestimated the popularity of these! Right now, all five have been claimed. I will try to open for more as my schedule allows, possibly in March. If you have any questions until then or want to get on a waiting list, just let me know!

Estimated delivery: March 2014

I am a professional, full time wildlife and fantasy artist. I will do everything in my power to make sure your get a painting you will like!

Here is an example of exactly what you can expect, completed based on a friend's Wyandotte hen:

Do you do anything larger than ACEO's?

I'd love to have a few done...my beloved Clementine (Golden Laced Cochin) that I lost in 2010...I'd LOVE to have one done of her...and maybe an Orloff rooster and one of my Sumatra rooster?

Thank you!

Hello Heather,

I would LOVE to paint your birds. They are all breeds that I think are fantastic! I work on art full time and sometimes have a pretty tight schedule, but if you'd like to email me/PM with what you might like, we can plan on something in the future. :) Your birds are beautiful.

A friend of a friend is moving to NJ and cannot take her birds, so she has let me adopt them. I would LOVE to get a portrait done of her favorite EE, Petunia, as a sweet reminder of her girl. I will snap a few photos and get back here. :)

Thank you! I'm not in a huge hurry....but I'll send you a PM at some point, probably within the next month or so--before things get crazy here at the farm! :)

THANKS again!
