Yup. and Golden Campines have nice, big, white earlobes and lay pretty white eggs.

Just a thought. Pearl White Leghorns are different from Calif. White Leghorns. With the Ca. White, they are a Hen of a Pearl White and a Roo of a Grey Leghorn. Not sure why your chicks are showing different in the one sex. Interesting though.

Mom chicken does look like a california white. It can't be another rooster as they are enclosed in their own pen and I had them before they could lay. I hatched four eggs two different times and the hens are brownish with the orangeish head while the roos look just like white leghorns. I'll get some more photos. Don't hold me accountable for mom chickens appearance she's molting something horrible. I thought something ate her one day when I saw white feathers blowing across the yard.

Hrm this photo above almost has her down.
Ok I just looked over them with a flashlight the roo is solid white with one brown feather under his wing.
hehe. Her legs are that dark looking purple too. I just looked up leg color.
