Oh my gosh!He had his birthday treat of a little canned cat food with some treats sprinkled on it (he usually eats dry food so that was a real treat for him, at least) and he passed out on the couch in the sun next to my nephew. Absolutely ridiculous cat.

Sorry to hear that.
May I join?
My birds have been locked away since fall. But, not too long ago a deer was hit on our road and ended up in the field across from us. I saw lots of activity from birds. There were crows, hawks, and even a couple of bald eagles! I'm sure at night other animals feasted on it. It fed a lot of animals for quite some time. Now, it's just a heap of bones so picked over the wind blew it across the field!Thank you, I'm okay now that the shock has worn off. Poor Hank... I think I'm going to prioritize hatching from the silkied Blue Cochins first this year, if the two Blue pullets ever start laying.
I did really quickly rearrange the deck and get everyone set up on there this evening. We've got a couple days just above freezing incoming, and then it's supposed to be pretty cold for a while again, so they should be fine hanging out on the deck and in the coop while we wait out this hawk and hope it moves on.
Of course! Anyone is welcome!
