Ancona Colorings
Does anyone know how to determine color in Ancona? I think I have 1 black, 3 chocolate, and then I’m not sure if the other 2 are lavender, lilac, or silver. I don’t think there are any blue. Ancona Duckling Colors (?)
I hatched 3 precious Ancona ducklings over the weekend! First one named “Doctor” hatched on its own with the exception of my making a safety hole after internal pipping. What are the original flock sources for the Ancona?
Do they all end up tracing back to Holderread? I saw somewhere in the Ancona Duck facebook group a mention of Ancona's being around on the United States east coast in the 1930's even though it's said they were only brought over from Britain in the 1960's.
