I’ll try to keep this brief!
We got our 11 chicks back in august and got 1 rooster and 10 hens, which is exactly what we wanted. I raised them all by hand and they’ve always been very friendly with me. When we transferred them outside anytime I open the door and come out they run to the edge to...
I have an established flock of chickens with 23 hens and 2 roosters (1 Ameraucana and 1 Spanish game?) and they are all about 1 year old now. They were all raised together except for Spanish rooster (not exactly sure on the breed but suspect it’s a game) was introduced later as we rehabilitated...
A couple months ago, I added 3 new female Muscovy ducks to my flock. The lonesome duck now in question, DW, first arrived as alpha, but she's quickly plummeted to the bottom of the hierarchy amidst the total flock of 7 I have (3 chicken hens, 1 duck drake, then these 3 duck ladies).

I have a 3 year old silkie/frizzle mix who absolutely refuses to get along with other chickens. Over the years I have tried pairing her with different roosters and hens but she always starts fights; however, she is super friendly with humans. In fact, she loves to cuddle.
The thing is, she...
