Rounding up ducks at night
I have a beautiful pond in my yard that I'd like the ducks to be able to swim and play in. But I also need to get them back into their pen (giant 12x16 structure) at dusk or they get picked off by local wildlife. It seems like I can't do both. Two nights ago they refused to come in off the pond... -

help!!!!!!
i let my 5 ducks go into my pond now i can’t get them out! they can go on land but the whole pond is fenced in and there is steps (way to big for ducks) so they just stay there and run into the water when i try to get them! i’ve tried traps, sneaking up on them, and i still can’t catch them...- Duck mommy 2019

So, I constantly have to change the straw in my duck coop because every 2-3 days it's soaked. I know ducks are just messy animals by nature, but I was wondering if there was anything I could do to kind of stop it from getting so soaked so often? I put down about 1/3 bale of straw every time I...
